The idea of SF Coaches was conceived in 1996 at a meeting at Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Coaches wanted a place to foster professional growth and get support. Over the next few years, gatherings began to take hold in Harriett's living room.

This evening is a celebration of coaching. SF Coaches will be honoring those who got us started and those who have kept us vibrant over the 10+ years we've been a chapter.

Harriett Simon Salinger, MCC, LCSW is a highly respected personal consultant and professional coach. Affectionately known as the "Wise Woman," Harriett is known for her companionship, humor, insight, and vigor as her clients embark upon unique paths toward personal and professional change.

With almost five decades of experience working with individuals, groups and corporations worldwide as a practicing psychotherapist, clinical social worker, teacher, and‹for the past 13 years‹a full-time professional coach, Harriett brings a wealth of practical experience, expertise and intuition to her coach-client relationships.

Today, as a Master Certified Coach, her work spans both individual and corporate settings. She has coached executives at IBM, Verizon, Glaxo Smith Kline, and Nortel, among others; as well as many individuals. She is a Senior Trainer with CoachU, an affiliate of the Pyramid Resource Group, one of the nation's premier corporate coaching companies, and an affiliate of Marketing U in Southern California.
