I am a personal and professional life coach and believe that I can do anything I choose. My goal is to assist my clients to believe that they can also do what they choose. A brief bio and description of my qualifications are noted at the bottom of this page. But, before we begin, it helps to know something about you. You will be asked to complete a brief description of yourself and what your objectives for coaching are. At that time, an initial session will be scheduled. The initial session may be in person or over the telephone. Subsequent sessions will be over the phone and supplemented by e-mail. Coaching sessions generally last less that one-hour, and are conducted one day per week and for a minimum of twelve weeks.
My coaching practice includes: Life Coaching; Job efficiency (Manufacturing and Engineering); Seniors who want more in their lives; Persons in 12 step programs who want to move forward.
Early coaching sessions focus on having an "open" mind, and the willingness to evaluate and consider new ideas. The client (you) will discuss with the coach (me) the issues that brought you to coaching. We will look at the purpose for overcoming those issues and define the goals to arrive at a "core purpose." The "core purpose" is what will drive actions to achieve the goals.
Later coaching sessions focus on setting goals and developing action plans to meet those goals in order to achieve the "core purpose." We may also address other issues to bring more balance into your life. Additionally, we may determine a new purpose, if necessary. During this time, we will identify milestones and possible early warning signs of "being off-track."
I attended and completed the Coaches Training Institute program, in San Rafael, California. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. I have worked as an aerospace test and development engineer, a nuclear power quality assurance engineer, a transit systems engineer in both large and small companies. I have been living in sobriety for over 18 years. I enjoy running, (first of three marathons at age 67), skiing with my grandson and enjoying life with my wife.
